Here is a little about us:

When we began this website, we were avid inline speedskaters and participated in northern California outdoor speed skating events as members of the Bay Area Inline Racers (BAIR). We no longer race, but still enjoy skating. Our favorite places to skate are Canada Road in Woodside (any Sunday), the Coyote Creek trail in south San Jose and Morgan Hill, Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and Shoreline Park in Mountain View.

Our main passion is bicycling (road).  We are members of the Western Wheelers Bicycle Club and really love the long distance training rides, Low-Key Hill Climbs and TNT rides.    The challenges of mountains and the rewards of scenic vistas are what keep us interested in bicycling. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have easy access to numerous world-class routes.

We especially love to travel and see the world on our bicycles. We have tried to relay the flavor of our bicycle trips to Europe on our photos page. Please visit it before you leave.

We also enjoy hiking and have photos on our website from many local favorites as well as other hikes in the U.S. and Europe.

We cross-country ski, although not often enough to be very good at it. One of our favorite trips is skiing in Yosemite National Park 10.5 miles from Badger Pass out to Glacier Point, then over-nighting there in the hut and returning the next day. You will find photos from our January, 2011 trip (under Local Hikes).
