Below - We stopped to visit Villa Pisani
Villa Pisani is the most majestic and ornate of the villas on the Brenta Riviera .
It was built by the rich Pisani family in 1735 to celebrate the election of Alvise Pisani
as Doge of Venice - the city's 114th ruler - hence, it was designed with 114 rooms.
It is much more formal and imposing than most of the Veneto pleasure villas.
It was the site of the first meeting between Hitler and Mussolini.
A long water channel links the main building with the grand facade of the disguised stables beyond.
As if Venice’s streets aren’t enough of a labyrinth, you can get just as lost
in the world’s most difficult garden maze: Il Labirinto
Above, Gerolamo Frigimelica designed the Maze of Villa Pisani in 1720,
and nowadays it is one of the most famous and best preserved in Europe.
