We decided to hike to Mortisa today, the hard way

The trailhead was just south of town. The views of the mountains were spectacular.

There were endless fields of wildflowers

There are over 1500 species of wildflowers in the Dolomites.

You'd think we could find a couple names that matched our photos!

Below - After hiking quite a bit out of the way, we finally found the Mortisa trail.

The trail went through a dense forest, in which a  22% grade would seem flat.
